Mission
The Ohio Association of Two-Year Colleges (OATYC) is dedicated to fostering a collaborative forum for faculty and staff from state-assisted two-year colleges and university branch campuses conferring associate degrees. Our mission is to promote the exchange of ideas, address shared interests, and engage in meaningful discussions on key issues to advance student success and institutional excellence.
Purpose
- To foster cooperation and communication among Ohio’s institutions of higher learning;
- To provide the viewpoint of the state-assisted two-year colleges to the Ohio Board of Regents and to the state legislature;
- To identify and improve the status, prestige, and welfare of all state-assisted. two-year colleges in Ohio;
- To cooperate with other Ohio agencies, colleges and universities in research and activities that promote student learning and the effectiveness of higher education in Ohio; and
- To increase the contributions of the state-assisted two-year colleges to the total educational process in the state of Ohio.
